7.       C. 2003.  Up until then it was the last Saturday before Christmas.

8.       True.  They did it in an attempt to keep shoppers home due to the parity of their dollar vs. ours.

9.       B.  In 1966, they started referring to that Friday as Black Friday due to the crowds and traffic.
